Hi there guys this is Neil Deighton, internet warrior, back with a new video. This time I've been asked about my thoughts on training frequency. This is a big topic and I don't want to bore the arse off everybody so ill try to keep this short and to the point. If you want to discuss it further go to tmuscle.co.uk - there's a thread on there with a lot of experienced guys who will chip in about it so im sure everyone will learn a lot.
Now, my thoughts personally on training frequency- the more often you can train a muscle or a powerlift, the faster you'll progress- as long as you can recover! It sounds obvious but how many guys out there are training powerlifts once per week for each lift? Have you asked yourself why you're training once per week? A lot of people say they cant recover if they try any more than that, well have they tried to train more often than that?
I know personally I got stuck training each lift once per week and I was thinking 'well I'm making gains so I'm doing alright' but then what I got to thinking is if I can use this same progression but train each lift every 5 days then surely I'm going to gain 3 months each year progression wise, I'm going to get stronger a lot faster, so why don't I give it a go, so that's what I did. I started training each lift more often, im just getting into it with squats and deads but benchpress I'm now training heavy twice p...
