I've been on trt for 2 years with a diagnosis of hypogonadism. I've been seeing an endocrinologist and my goal is to get my t levels to mid to high normal range (although some muscle growth as a side effect would be nice ). For 2 years, every time I have my T tested (every six months) either total T is normal but free T is in the gutter or total T is very high and free T is low to mid normal range.
I've finally decided to join a men's health clinic and have been following their advise for 3 months
Their advise:
Changed dosage from .7 once every 2 weeks to .8 weekly
Got the results after three months. Total T and free T is more then double the high end of normal range .
Saw the T Clinic doc and he was OK with this result. Note that due to another condition, my platelets are normally about 20 points below the normal range so he said worst case is platelet level will increase to normal range. . I told the clinic doc that on Dr.Google I've read about thickening of blood and blood clots if T levels remain consistently as I high. Note please that due to this other condition I am not eligible to donate blood so this is not an option
I am feeling great at this level but I'm concerned about possible effects of consistent very high T levels
Apologies in advance for the long post and thanks for any comments or advise on this
