Starting bodybuilding at 40…my journey

Guys,

Thanks for all your suggestions. I took the leap of joining a gym and been working out for a week.

So far I have been there 4 days looking to build my strength back with the below:

1. 3 sets of push ups (10 reps)
2. 3 sets of body weight squats (10 reps)
3. 3 sets of lunges (10 reps)
4. 3 sets of lat pull down (10 reps)
5. 3 sets of overhead press (10 reps)

This weekend I am going to attempt some light bench press and deadlifts.

Any other suggestions from any of you here?

Keep up the good work mate. See how you go with bench and deadlifts.

You are only in week 1. Allow yourself to ease into it, no point rushing and doing too many different things

As said take it easy starting off again. The gym owner should write you a routine if you tell him your goals! This would make it easier for you. You can change your training routine or any exercise later on!
