Does Shilajit Really Increase Testosterone Levels?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been reading a lot about shilajit and its potential health benefits, particularly regarding testosterone. Some sources claim that regular supplementation can naturally boost testosterone levels, improve energy, and enhance muscle strength, but I’m curious about how much of this is backed by science.

Are there any reliable studies showing significant increases in testosterone in men after taking shilajit?

Also, what’s the recommended dosage, and are there any side effects I should be aware of?

I’d love to hear personal experiences or expert insights from anyone familiar with this supplement.

Personally don't think there's enough evidence to support it as being particularly effective. I would be cautious anyway, I see it touted a lot on socials by the usual wanna be influencer types as a miracle testosterone enhancer. Perhaps if you're in your late 40s + it could be worth trying if you're looking at ways of naturally increasing test. I would ensure you are getting from a very reliable place however thinking about the potential for what's actually in it.
 
I took shilajit for testosterone for approximately two to three months after reading about it. I didn't experience a sudden change in hormones, but I did feel more stable energy during the day and exercises that were a little more consistent.

A few studies I looked at do reveal moderate increases in testosterone after about 90 days, usually with a dose of 250 mg twice a day. It's not a big deal, and it seems to work better if levels are already low.

I didn't experience any adverse effects, although I did pay attention to the quality of shilajit

Overall, shilajit for testosterone didn't provide me with fast results; it helped me gradually feel more energized and balanced.
