Form felt smooth, everything kept tight, focus was on tucking my lats into my back pockets.

No issues with the assistance stuff, all straight forward.

Squats ok I suppose, not much to really discuss.

Strict press felt ok, almost failed the 3rd rep at 90kg, had to reset and got it 2nd time of asking.

Bench was good, all felt smooth, 160kg flew off the chest quite easily, but kind of lost it mentally

Couple of the guys gave me some hard slaps around the face to get me going, probably need to really eotk on my aggression when approaching heavish lifts.

Normally I wouldve gone home after the first failure but gave it another go and got the 145kg 2x2 quite easily.

Decent enough session.

So I havent really done much as far as this comp goes but i've decided to get a little more serious with my nutrition.

Tracking cals and macros etc.

Interestingly it works out being more food than Im used to eating when freestyling a cut, so should be interesting.

Energy levels will be higher which will mean better performance in the gym, so looking forward to how things will pan out.

Not a bad session in hindsight, felt a bit tired this morning, triceps were just struggling to lock everything out.

Feeling alright on the diet so far, more food than I usually have when dieting but still a bit hungry just before bed.

The mrs cant believe the amount im allowed to eat while still being in a defecit lol

Diets the bastard isn't it mate! Does get easier the more you stick it though.

Still best part of 7 weeks left, plenty of time to make some good changes for the comp......

Wide stance squats felt solid but depth really difficult to hit.

Think i'll work on both stances.

Bench was ok, didnt do it on a proper bench, was in the rack so set up was off and couldnt use leg drive.
